From textiles to high-tech, the Southeast region has experienced tremendous growth and prosperity over the past decade. Since the 1960s, Greenville has transformed from the textile capital of the world to a manufacturing, corporate office and warehousing/distribution powerhouse. While maintaining a diversified economy, Greenville has rapidly grown and developed into one of the Southeast region's premiere cities for business.

Greenville is the economic engine of the Palmetto State. The most recent economic indicators bear this out. Beyond the numbers, however, a person just needs to take a short look around to see the evidence of a thriving economy. From Clemson University’s work in nanotechnology and fiber optics to Michelin’s tire testing operations, Greenville can boast of a high level of technological sophistication and expertise. The area also has one of the highest per capita levels of international investment in the U.S. and is home to numerous headquarter operations. And, the area continues to see a strong commercial, industrial and residential real estate market. With new products coming online and projects in the works, Greenville is poised for rapid growth in the near future.
